Same-Sex Wedding in France – Gay Wedding Photography at Château la Durantie

I love visiting France; it’s always a delight. So when I was invited to photograph this same-sex destination wedding in France, I felt excited and truly honoured.

An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at a French Château

The two grooms exchanged their vows of eternal love on a beautiful sunny day. The outdoor ceremony took place in the grounds of a stunning mansion, in the shade of old, majestic trees. The château itself was truly impressive. The whole estate was full of fine art and intriguing little details that were begging to be photographed.

A Destination Wedding at Château la Durantie

Friends from all over the world came to this destination wedding at Château la Durantie, most of them from Australia. Everything was styled to perfection. A long, elegantly set table stretched through the middle of a glorious park, a perfect setting for destination wedding photography. I felt like a kid in a candy store – I wanted to capture it all!

The wedding decorations were remarkably refined, and together with the guests’ elegant dress code and the excellent food, everything came together into a magical celebration. During dinner, heartfelt speeches were given, and quite a few tears were shed as friends and family spoke about the strength of the two young men’s love.

Fireworks and a Night of Dancing

After dinner (finger-licking good, of course), a 10-minute fireworks show lit up the sky, reminding the world that something truly special had happened that day. The air was full of positive energy, and all of it went into dancing and partying late into the night. The guests let loose, and the cheerful, joyful vibe of the day turned into a wild, fun night.
