Alana & Alex – Brooklyn Wedding Story | New York Destination Wedding Photographer

New York, the city that never sleeps – and it’s absolutely true. Every time I return to this concrete jungle, it impresses me all over again. So many contrasting scenes, so many different faces and sounds. Moments of joy and happiness that carry you along like leaves on a windy spring morning.
Alana and Alex trusted me with their wedding day and let me capture their beautiful love story. They are a down-to-earth couple with plenty of humour and love. Their whole family welcomed me with open arms, and I truly felt like part of their circle.

Getting Ready on Smith Street, Brooklyn

The day began on Smith Street in Brooklyn, where makeup artist Brian Dean and hair artist Melissa Parizot made sure the bride looked like a real princess. She wore a wedding dress by J. Mendel, a veil by Daphne Newman and jewelry by Kristine Mulroe. The groom looked effortlessly chic in a custom suit by Alton Lane.

Wedding Ceremony at Queen of All Saints Church

The wedding ceremony took place at Queen of All Saints Church in Brooklyn. The flowers by Buds of Brooklyn were simply stunning and made the church feel even more special.

Wedding Portraits on the Streets of Brooklyn

After the ceremony, the bride made time for family photos, and then we hit the streets of Brooklyn for portraits of the happy couple. The streets were full of people, yet it felt as if they were all part of this wedding story. It was a relaxed, easy-going and beautiful photo session, exactly the kind of natural New York wedding photography I love.

Alana and Alex, thank you again for inviting me to your beautiful wedding so far from home. I am truly happy to have been part of your story, and I met so many wonderful people along the way. I wish you all the best on your journey together.
