I met photography at thirteen, still in primary school. I couldn’t understand how a single, fleeting moment could be carried onto paper and kept there, softly, forever. That thought never quite let go of me. Photography has been my life ever since.

Today I’m a wedding and portrait photographer.

What I do stopped being just a job a long time ago – it’s part of who I am. It carries me around the world, to gentle, magical places, among beautiful people and their love stories, no matter how big or small, loud or intimate, close to or far from Slovenia they unfold. I simply love meeting people who are in love.

On a wedding day, I try to be a quiet, calm presence. Most of the time I simply watch and let moments happen on their own – the tears, the laughter, the dancing when no one’s watching. But I also stay close by, gently guiding a pair through a pose or a moment they’re unsure of, so they can relax and feel like the most natural version of themselves. I adapt to each couple, because every love story asks to be told a little differently.

I care, above all, about building a relationship rooted in trust and warmth, not just a working arrangement in front of a camera. That’s why I take the time to really listen – to your wishes, your worries, your vision for the day. I speak English, Italian, Spanish and French, so wherever in the world your wedding takes place, you can breathe easy and simply be yourselves.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me on a long walk through the forest, where my thoughts always seem to settle quietly back into place, or out on my SUP board, losing myself in the endless blue of the water. I’m also a father to my son Aljosa and my daughter Inti, who fill me with a boundless, cosmic kind of energy.

Working With Wedding Planners

Behind almost every well-organized wedding I’ve had the pleasure of shooting, there’s been a wedding planner quietly holding the whole day together. In my experience, they’ve become an almost constant presence at the weddings that run the smoothest, and for good reason.

That’s why, before the wedding day even begins, I always make it a point to connect with the planner. Together we go through the timeline, the guidelines, the small details that matter – where the light will be, when the couple needs a quiet moment, when the whole group needs to move from one place to the next. I make sure I understand exactly how the day is meant to flow, so that I can move within it rather than against it.

A wedding planner’s job is far more demanding than most people imagine – dozens of moving parts, vendors, timings, and personalities, all needing to align into one seamless day. I have deep respect for that work, and I see myself as a partner to it, not an obstacle. Staying closely in touch with them throughout the day, keeping to the agreed schedule, and communicating any changes as they happen – that’s how I make sure my camera never gets in the way of the very day it’s there to capture.

It’s a quiet kind of teamwork, but it’s one of the reasons a wedding day can feel effortless for the couple – even when, behind the scenes, so much care has gone into making it look that way.
