A young American couple decided to celebrate the most important day of their lives right here, by Lake Bled, surrounded by the Julian Alps and the winter stillness that gives Bled its almost fairy-tale atmosphere.

The wedding was organized by DaPetra Weddings, who made sure every detail ran seamlessly — from coordinating the guests’ arrival from the US to managing the logistics at the castle itself. The ceremony took place on the terrace of Bled Castle, offering one of the most breathtaking views of the lake, Bled Island, and the surrounding mountains. The winter air, the quiet, and the view gave the ceremony an extra layer of intimacy that summer dates in Bled rarely offer.

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued with dinner at the castle restaurant Jezeršek, also located at Bled Castle, where the couple and their family carried on celebrating in the castle’s warm, welcoming atmosphere.

After the ceremony, we walked around the castle and its surroundings with the couple and captured the photoshoot without any of the usual stress and time pressure — something that’s often far harder to arrange at larger weddings.
